TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone without providing the reason to the customer in question.
  • We do not accept any reservations and we operate solely on a walk-in basis. For this reason, we cannot ever guarantee the availability of a table nor provide an exact wait time. We always have a member of staff managing the front of the house so please wait for them to seat you.
  • During peak hours, the maximum stay at our tables is limited to 60 minutes. For smaller tables, this duration might be shorter to accommodate all guests. Additionally, while there are queues, we kindly ask all guests to meet the minimum spend requirement. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  • Whilst we are a dog-friendly restaurant, we will only accommodate dogs if they will not cause any obstruction to our emergency procedures nor the safety of any other customer or member of staff. When we are at maximum capacity we may not be able to accommodate your dog, or you may incur a longer wait for a table so you may sit nearest the exit in case of an emergency evacuation. We would never intentionally discriminate nor make anyone feel unwelcome but unfortunately, this rule must also extend to service dogs to ensure the safety of all of our patrons. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
  • We can only accommodate a limited number of prams in the restaurant at any given time, so you may incur a longer wait time for a table if there are already families with infants dining when you arrive.
  • When we are at maximum capacity, we may not be able to accept tables with luggage or require additional furniture such as moving or adding tables and chairs, or providing a high chair for an infant. This is for the safety of all of our customers and staff, and in keeping with our emergency procedures. Any allowances made are at the discretion of the management, however, we will never jeopardise the safety of anyone.
  • For this same reason, we ask that if you have luggage you follow the advice of the staff regarding its storage, and that if you have an umbrella you put it in our umbrella stand by the door. Failure to comply with health and safety guidance provided by management may result in the refusal of service.
  • Please always inform your server of any allergies before placing your order as not all ingredients can be listed and we cannot guarantee the total absence of allergens in our dishes. Detailed allergen information is available on request. Substitutions and changes to dishes will be subject to additional charges. The staff may make informed decisions to substitute menu items based upon availability so if there is anything you cannot, or do not want to have you must make service staff aware of this; this includes diet adaptations due to pregnancy.
  • We always strive to play music that all of our diverse clientele will enjoy, however, we cannot always tailor the playlist to you. We play our music at a volume that is in keeping with the atmosphere we aim to create. We are a cafe and bar and are not able to change the music or volume to cater to a small number who may choose to have meetings or make calls in our establishment.
  • Some music may contain language or themes that might be considered offensive to some patrons. While we aim to select appropriate content, personal sensitivities vary. We are not responsible if you’re offended.
  • By entering our cafe, patrons acknowledge that the music played may not suit everyone's taste or preferences. We are not responsible for any offence taken.
  • Our cafe and staff are not liable for any emotional or psychological impact caused by the music selection. If you find the music offensive, it might simply not be the right music for you.
  • Split payments are limited to a maximum of 4 payments per table. Alternatively, a service charge will be added if the number is exceeded.
  • Bills will not be itemised meal by meal. However, custom splits are acceptable upon request.
  • A 10% discretionary service charge will be added to the bill for parties of six or more.

  • Patrons are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their bill and the timely settlement of their portion. The last person in the group is responsible for paying any outstanding balance, despite any misunderstandings or confusion among the group.
  • Our cafe and staff are not liable for any discrepancies or disputes arising from the payment process. Patrons are encouraged to review their bill before making payment.
  • Our licence does not permit smoking in our outdoor dining area.
  • Dale Street Kitchen is lucky enough to have a licence to have live music performed at our venue. All music is in compliance with our licence and we ask that patrons and neighbours respect our decisions regarding this. However, out of respect to our neighbours, we do ask that additional noise is kept to a minimum, especially when leaving Dale Street Kitchen at nighttime. Disruptive or excessively loud behaviour in and around our venue may result in refusal of service or being asked to leave.
Fascinating Dining Terms:
  • Olive Alert: Beware, that olives may contain stones.
  • Salmon Surprise: Occasionally, salmon might have bones.
  • Hot & Fresh: Hot food is served hot, just as it should be.
  • Juice Joy: Freshly squeezed juices and smoothies will have natural bits for that authentic taste.
  • Artful Presentation: Your food may be served in various creative forms, often garnished with salt, pepper, or cress.
  • Custom Breakfasts: When ordering a custom breakfast instead of from the menu, the price will vary based on how our staff processes it.
  • Tap Water: Tap water comes with fruit and ice for a touch of elegance.
  • Waiting Wisdom: If you choose to wait, you do so at your discretion. The staff isn't responsible.
  • Cleanliness Courtesy: If you sit at a table that has not been cleaned yet, please be aware that staff will need to clean it while you are seated. We recommend waiting at the podium by the door to be seated. If cleaning sprays come into contact with you, staff cannot be held responsible.
  • Floral Note: We have real flowers in the restaurant; please be mindful if you have allergies.
